Lafayette, Louisiana-based indie poppers GIVERS are one big happy family. Since going on tour last year with avant-rock mainstays Dirty Projectors, the band has experienced a whirlwind of success, culminating in a record deal with the venerable Glassnote Records.
Even in the face of adversity and grueling travel schedules, the group has committed to a message of positivity. GIVERS sat down with us after an amazing performance on The Interface to talk about their debut album 'In Light,' hometown traditions and bearded man named Heart.

I've remarked before how just about the only famous singer who "sounds British" while singing is Elton John .. That is, he doesn't lose his accent ... Oddly enough, it seems the rest lose it while singing .. Strange phenomenon!
