'Lost' George Harrison Guitar Solo Discovered in 'Here Comes the Sun' Tapes

'Abbey Road' is revered by Beatles fans the world over. It was the last album they ever recorded, and its sequencing and construction are so tight it's difficult to imagine any second of this album being different than it is now, almost as if it sprung fully formed from the minds of John, Paul, George and Ringo. Yet, 43 years after its making, a lost George Harrison guitar solo for 'Here Comes the Sun' has been unearthed.

The discarded guitar part was intended to appear about one minute into the song and was discovered by Harrison's son, Dhani, longtime Beatles producer Sir George Martin and his son, collaborator Giles.

"It's totally different to anything I've ever heard," confesses Dhani in the video, which you can watch below. For his part, George Martin coolly admits, "I'd forgotten about that."

The solo was found among the original master tapes during a trip the trio took to Abbey Road Studios, which famously lent its name to the Beatles' swan song. The tapes also feature a stronger presence of the Moog synthesizer, which is tucked deeper into the mix on the album version. Check it out below

John Lennon wasn't on this record. Hard to believe. It sounds like him singing harmony. Miss you.

Forty three years later and we're still enamored with The Beatles! Just goes to show how incredible these four guys were and how they shaped an entire generation. The "Rap Generation" will never, ever understand the importance of The Beatles (nor can we ever expect them to.) They've never heard of Rock N Roll, Mowtown or the British Invasion...or even any real music for that matter. Our generation knows and that's all that's important.

That few seconds of guitar has a thousand more times talent than anything you hear nowadays. Don't think anyone will be talking about today's talent in 50 years, but they WILL still be talking about the Beatles.

what you people don't understand is the solo or riffs he was playing were raw and not a finished product, which is how all musicians compose song they have experiment see how things sound and fit in or not fit in . and i guess that george being one of the greatest musician of our time probably thought that the song was better the way it was finally done , which is genius if you ask me. and for those who are not familiar with the beatles works show me a band today that is as talented as each member of the beatles were . because you can't and that's that

Dhani is the splitting image of George. Incredible. I really thought he was a young George for a minute. Too bad George is no longer with us. He'd only be 68 today.

Many jew entertainment producers always hide photos, recordings and video clips of up and coming stars illegally and then release them much later if they became mega stars. You can never, never, never trust a jew.
