Bruce Springsteen's New Album,'Wrecking Ball,' Due out March 6

The Boss has finally revealed details of his 17th album, which is due out March 6 via Columbia. Featuring 11 tracks, the LP was produced by Ron Aniello and Springsteen.
Springsteen also gave fans a taste of what's to come by streaming the lead track 'We Take Care of Our Own.' Featuring a chorus with the line "Wherever this flag's flown, we take care of our own," the anthemic track's main difference from his classic work is the backing of strings.
The album takes its title from a song that Springsteen debuted during a string of performances at the Meadowlands, the former home of the New York Giants and Jets that was torn down last year. Like many Springsteen tracks, it deals with fading glory, blue-collar dreams and, of course, the Garden State: "I was raised out of steel here in the swamps of Jersey, some misty years ago/Through the mud and the beer, and the blood and the cheers, I've seen champions come and go."

"Bruce has dug down as deep as he can to come up with this vision of modern life," Springsteen's manager Jon Landau said in a statement. "The lyrics tell a story you can't hear anywhere else and the music is his most innovative of recent years. The writing is some of the best of his career and both veteran fans and those who are new to Bruce will find much to love on 'Wrecking Ball.'"
The album will also be released in a special edition with a pair of bonus tracks and additional artwork. On March 15, Springsteen is due to appear at SXSW as the festival's keynote speaker. He and the E Street Band have already confirmed European tour dates, with U.S. concerts expected to be revealed soon. So far, there's no word as to who will replace saxophonist Clarence Clemons, who died last summer after suffering a stroke.
