The Manchester foursome has revealed on its Facebook page that Universal and Columbia will handle the U.K. and U.S. releases, respectively, of its forthcoming third album, the NME reports.
The Roses haven't given us any new new music since December 1994, when they dropped their little-loved sophomore effort, 'Second Coming.' It's a record almost no one -- save for maybe the titular character in 'Shaun of the Dead,' who digs it too much to chuck it at approaching zombies -- ever talks about, although its predecessor, the group's 1989 self-titled debut, remains an indie classic.
According to the NME, the band is recording new material as it rehearses for this summer's comeback shows, which begin in June. Earlier this month, singer Ian Brown and guitarist John Squire reunited for the first time in 16 years, revisiting the Roses' 'Elizabeth My Dear' and covering a pair of Clash tunes at a charity benefit.
