Wolf's albums have veered from meticulously crafted electro-folk (2003's debut 'Lycanthropy') to Madonna-esque pop-posturing (2005's 'The Magic Position'), but consistent across all his records have been themes of isolation, restlessness and, in his own words, "running away from life".
Which is precisely what makes 'Lupercalia' such a landmark album for the 27-year-old. Now in love and engaged to be married, Patrick spoke to Spinner about why the record and its second single 'The City' find him happier than he's ever been, why he's toned down the "style" to let the "substance" of his music take centre stage and why, for now at least, he's finally feeling content.

'The City' is out 14 March and 'Lupercalia' is out on 30 May.
