Royal Wood, 'On Top of Your Love' (Live at Glenn Gould) -- Video Premiere

Royal Wood is quickly becoming one of Canada's finest singer-songwriters, ranking amongst the storied likes of Rufus Wainright and Ron Sexsmith, with his skills on fine display on his newest album 'The Waiting.'

The first single, 'On Top of Your Love,' "is a song I wrote in the name of lust," Wood explains. "It's about being separated from someone you just can't have to satisfy your desire due to circumstance. An itch that needs to be scratched."

Helmed by Juno Award-winning video director Jeth Weinrich ( three wins out of seven nods) the video was shot was during one of the sound checks for my two sold out performances at Toronto's Glenn Gould studio.

"What makes this video for me is that, like the song, it showcases my band in a way that allows the music to cease to be about just the solo artist."
