Erykah Badu will be given a citation for disorderly conduct after appearing nude in the streets of Dallas, TX while filming portions of the video for her new song, 'Window Seat,' according to a statement given by the Dallas Police Department Saturday. The citation will reportedly amount to a $500 fine.

As previously reported, it was believed Badu might be hit with the charge after a woman filed a complaint that Badu had been filming the scenes in a populated area that included children.

According to Rolling Stone, there were no complaints filed at the time of the shoot three weeks ago, but since the release of the video, which quickly went viral, police have been encouraging witnesses to come forward.

On Saturday, the Dallas Police Department confirmed in a statement that Badu will be given a citation for disorderly conduct next week. A citation is "about as serious as a parking ticket," the Dallas Morning News explains.

The witness who came forward said that she had "observed Ms. Badu remove her clothing on the public street. The witness had two small children with her and was offended," the police statement reads.

The shoot was filmed at Dealey Plaza, the site of President John F. Kennedy's 1963 assassination. In the scene, Badu is seen walking nude, then falling to the ground as a gunshot, muted in the final cut of the video, is fired. According to Badu's Twitter feed, some people at the video shoot, which was filmed guerrilla style, did yell at her to put her clothes back on. On Friday, Badu wrote the following tweet: "No one has pressd charges. All propaganda. Dont believe everything you hear. Fall back soldiers. EveryTING is fine."

In a Dallas Morning News interview published last week, Badu, a Dallas native, described the video as "a protest" about "liberating yourself."
