Vegetarian cooking ain't cheap. As Paul McCartney preps his concert this weekend in Phoenix, Ariz, promoters are shelling out $7,000 for a mobile kitchen that can churn out the same quality food five-star restaurants can. KTAR in Phoenix reports that McCartney's team has to ensure 100 crew members get fed, which shouldn't be a problem, since the kitchen they're renting can handle 6,000 people. And since you can't to be too careful on the road, McCartney brings his own chefs. He's even looking to get his own mobile kitchen to take on the road sometime in the near future.
McCartney's latest studio album was 2007's 'Memory Almost Full,' although he released a live album last year called 'Good Evening, New York City,' which culled material over his three-night run at New York's Citi Field, a nod to the Beatles' classic 1965 performance at Shea Stadium. After this Phoenix gig, McCartney's 'Up and Coming' Tour includes only a few more stateside shows. From there, he heads back to the homeland, where he'll headline a few shows this June, including London's Hyde Park on June 27.

VIP is great...but my seat wasn't there (at Piedmont Park in Atlanta) I was pretty ticked to start with, we had to sit on a hill.I joked we were the fools on the hill,BUT as the evening progressed and I saw the other 32,000 people in a sea at the bottom of the hill I was so glad I paid the 500.00...free beer and wine, great food and clean staffed restrooms...it was the way to go.

@Phil I was at that concert. One of the first things I noticed was how much closer I was to the stage than the VIP's. I actually thought it was pretty humorous.

Way to go Paul! Glad you are still touring and enjoying what you do!! I grew up listening to your music - have always loved it and have been inspired by it. I have seen many many of your concerts - enjoying every one of them that I have seen. If this is how you have your food prepared and cooked - Good for you. May you have more happiness than you have given and enjoy it many times over - Thank you Paul.

why does mccartney still tour is it because his live really sucks and he is unhappy or is it to pay that one legged freak he was married to by the way paul john lennon still rocks and rulzs

How do you know his life suck"s ?

let it be....

you are a moron
Davoat 3-28-2010
kryjef, you sound a bit on the ignorant side. McCartney was the missing link the Beatles were looking for before they took off. If not for him, they'd have stayed in Liverpool and settled down. Paul gave them hope, promise and an edge....he could sing and arrange.
Edat 3-28-2010
Why don't you shut up.. He's still a top notch performer and wants to entertain his fans as long as he can and you know it, not to mention the huge demand to see him. He's great at the gate and that's an inspiration for anyone. I saw him @ The Nassau Coliseum in 2002 right before he turned 60 and he was great and he hasn't lost a bit since then. He still has it and it's not going away for quite some time. I can see him performing into his 80's though not full force like in recent years.
kryjefat 3-28-2010
HEY ED you are right his music does rock if you like wings (which by the way was linda's group and when paul couldnt find anyone to play with he took over)which is nothing more than bubblegum music at its worst so someone please tell me what paul has done since the beatles and dont say well he did ebony and ivory with wacko jacko plain and simple like most who thinks that he is great well he isnt and as for him being the backbone of the beatles dont think so check it out how many top 10's did george have after the beatles compared to paul nuff said
Johnat 3-28-2010
Well kryjef, I am not going to badger your opinion of McCartney nor perform a grammatical anaylysis of your point. You have the right to speech. I will say getting facts correct are most important. Ebony and Ivory was not performed with "Wacko Jacko" Michael Jackson, but with Stevie Wonder. In light of your derogatory opinions, the world hopes you are not another Mark David Chapman.
Mickey Bitskoat 3-28-2010
Hey kryjef - I am hoping you meant to say "life" instead of "live" - check your grammar and your spelling. Mac's life does not suck by the way. Also, for your information, John Lennon is dead and no longer 'ruuulllzzzezz' or whatever the hell that means. When you go through all that trouble of trying to write 'cool' you could have written the word correctly which is 'rules' - bye bye dumbo
kryjefat 3-28-2010
sorry mr spell checker but instead of commenting on my grammer why dont you post to the story instead of how i feel about paul mccartney or are you one who wants everyone to think and like what you like
sharonat 3-30-2010
i agree with you, that kryjef, needs lessons in spelling, grammar, and a few basic things like manners. paul mccartney does rock, and i love his music with his wife linda, i went to a wings concert and loved it. i am sorry linda is gone, and i am sorry he got sucked into marrying a gold digger. (i hope she rots in hell).

I can say I've seen Sir Paul 3 times..The first with THE BEATLES in INDIANAPOLIS 1964...With Wings before his wife Linda became ill and then again solo..all in Indianapolis...what a performance, the last lasted almost 3 hours..Simply the BEST!!
Jat 3-28-2010
Dont get me wrong . I like the guy . I was in high school during the british invasion . However I wouldnt walk across the street to see him if her were free .
Now Ringo ,thats a different story . He does some Beatle remakes . He rocks

HEY PAUL!!!!!!!!
YOU LOOK SORT OF JOWLY!!! NOTHING A NICE DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER WOULD'NT FIX........
Stanleyat 3-28-2010
I'm not too up on today's rock 'n' roll, but from what I've heard of it, I wonder what happened to real talent. No band after the Beatles "Rubber Soul" album has even come close to matching the genius of the Beatles. Their music is overall superior to anything put out by any other group. The Beatles pioneered almost every variety of rock, and after the sixties and seventies, rock dissapeared into a void of the untalented.
