The world is a much different place than it was in 2004. For starters, Dubya is no longer president and Green Day has their very own musical on Broadway. The show is based off of the Bay Area punk-rock trio's landmark 2004 album 'American Idiot' and had an enormously successful limited engagement in Berkeley, Calif. in advance debuting on Broadway this March.

In anticipation, Green Day re-recorded their current hit, '21 Guns,' from their current album, '21st Century Breakdown,' with the cast of 'American Idiot' at the band's studio in Oakland this past fall. The new video, directed by Doug Hamilton and Bill Berg Hillinger, shows singer/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong in the producer's chair as he leads the gang of thespians through the new arrangement. It's a pretty killer version, all told.

"Experiencing 'American Idiot' on stage in Berkeley was incredible," Armstrong tells Spinner. "We're so proud that the show is coming to Broadway!" After watching this video, we're pretty excited about it too. Check it out below.
