Tori Amos, Rosanne Cash Sign Items for Girls Rock Camp Auction

On Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Brooklyn, N.Y.'s Knitting Factory, the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls will hold its fourth annual Rock 'n' Roll Auction, a fundraiser for the non-profit organization that uses music to mentor girls and women. The event will feature performances by Saffire and Kaki King, well-known guests from the music industry and signed memorabilia by some of the most famous female artists in the world.The big prizes for the evening include a microphone signed by Tori Amos and guitars signed by Sheryl Crow, Rosanne Cash, Amy Ray and Kaia Wilson. Other items include autographed CD's and gifts from the Brooklyn Brewery, Gotham Girls Roller Derby, Steve Maxwell drums and other noted NYC businesses. Hosts for the event include many of the Camp's board of directors and members of the advisory board, music journalists and industry professionals, as well as activist and former Bikini Kill and Le Tigre frontwoman Kathleen Hanna, who has also volunteered at the camp.
All proceeds benefit Willie Mae, and tickets are $25 for regular admission and $75 for VIP access, which includes a pre-auction reception with the hosts and performers. The event starts at 8PM ET, and tickets can be purchased here.
