The Submarines have a bizarre history when it comes to their two key members. John Dragonetti and Blake Hazard were solo artists who started dating, broke up, wrote songs about the breakup, recorded those songs together, then got married and ultimately formed a band to play those songs. Whew! This video for 'Submarine Symphonika,' which is also bizarre but more in a psychedelic sky-of-diamonds way, was directed by Josh Forbes and brought to life by a team of undeniably creative people. "We happily present to you this document of our visit to a beautiful imaginary world with a song about possibility and hope for love," Hazard tells Spinner. "May your holiday stars shine bright this year." Sounds like someone, at least, has found her happy ending. We suppose this song being featured in multiple iPhone commercials doesn't hurt.
