Turns out you can take Virgin Festival out of Toronto, but you can't make Toronto music fans follow. So Canada's fifth and final V-fest of 2009 is doing a last-minute relocation from cottage country back to the city."Ticket sales haven't been what we had hoped for," festival director Andrew Bridge said. "We asked festival-goers why and they said that although the line-up and intended site are both awesome, they wanted the festival to return to Toronto this year to make it easier to access."
Virgin Festival will now take place at the Molson Amphitheatre. The Aug 29-30 dates remain the same, as does the line-up, which includes Nine Inch Nails last-ever Canadian date as well as performances by Ben Harper, the Pixies, Pet Shop Boys, Our Lady Peace, Franz Ferdinand, Grizzly Bear, N.E.R.D., Sloan, Rural Alberta Advantage, Thunderheist and more.
Ticket are now available for the seats and the back lawn. If you bought a ticket for the Burl's Creek location, you're still good to go and if you can no longer attend, check here for refund info.
