Top 20 Worst Songs Ever: No. 20

For some, the gimmicks couldn't stand the test of time, others were just plain crap to begin with. These tunes will forever incite horror, laughter and despair in the listeners brave enough to revisit them. AOL Radio has launched a new station counting down the 111 most wretched songs in history -- here's a look at the 20 worst of the worst.

'The Final Countdown'
--Europe (1986)

The song's synthesizer fanfare may have been considered pretty groundbreaking in 1986, but come to think of it, dudes with feathered hair seemed like a good idea at the time, too. Today, this song serves as a caricature of cheesy '80s synth rock.

You're about dumb for this one! After starting with this song, I now know what to expect. You probably are one of those people who doesn't like anything mainstream/radio aka good. Weird taste in music, and probably your favorite band is some band who had one good song, and 5 bad albums lol.

Born in the USA. 5 words screamed over and over and over. No music, and a drum pounding the beat over and over and over. I just heard 5 minutes ago, and it gave me a headache again.

For the time, that song had a lot to say. It had a meaning. As for the repetitious part in the chorus...it had to do with a patriotic thing, kinda like chanting your favorite sports teams name over and over for 20 minutes at the game. When you get excited about something, that happens lol. At the Olympics, what does the American crowd chant...."USA...USA...USA..."...Born In The USA was anti-government, pro-freedom patriotism. The audience would chant those words over and over at his concerts! The songs was awesome!
