What about Hate Me by Blue October? Very powerful lyrics regarding lack of self worth.

ONE COUNTRY SONG ? Hell, 90% of country is sad. Could ANYONE listen to TEDDY BEAR by Red Sovine and not cry ? When Mom,one of the kids or the dog dies, your broke and you just lost your job, thats sad. When you're poor, no future and what little you have in life is gone, thats sad. Country folks know what sad is.

Obviously the saddest song in the world would be the sound of wedding music cause everytime I hear wedding bells I start to cry and think about before I was married.....

LOL, I had "Lady" sung at my wedding in 1984! I didn't think it was sad, I saw it as beautiful. He is still my Knight in Shinning Armor!

Obviously the creator of this list isn't a clapton fan. "Tears in heaven" is, hands down, the saddest song of all time. The fact that it isn't even on here pretty much discredits the entire thing for me, even though I agree with some of the other ones (if you aren't moved in some way by "Hallelujah", you are simply not human).
